THANKS! HERE are YOUR SELF-CALMING SKILL-BUILDING VIDEOs:
Self-calming skills allow children to manage their impulses, reduce aggression and anxiety, and create safe, caring schools. According to research, self-calming skills also help children to focus and learn much more quickly. Learning to relax reduces symptoms of ADHD, Learning Disabilities, Post-Traumatic Stress, anxiety disorders, and even many Autism Spectrum Disorders.

If your child or your class truly struggles with self-calming, you may need to add rewards and other self-calming options as children listen to the video, such as colouring, or writing down the words that they hear in the video. You can offer rewards (such as an extra beloved story or extra choice time) if the class or child manages to relax and listen quietly. Also, it helps if you do the self-calming video yourself to encourage students to relax as well. You may wish to use this video yourself to reduce stress and prevent burnout. Smiling Sam is the first Super Peace Monkey. She teaches self-calming skills of smiling and slow breathing, and relaxing one body part at a time. To enhance children's self-calming skills, play this video daily at the beginning of each morning and/or afternoon. Suitable for ages 3-10. The first video is over two minutes long, and the second video is over eight minutes long.
